New finds in Dollar Tree

Maybelline Mineral Power lipstick in Nude Shell. I love the color. It looks very natural on my Asian skin. Also, it is matte but moisturizing. Exactly like my favorite kinda lipstick. Shimmery or pearly lipsticks accentuate the cracks on my lips. Not very attractive!

Three LA Colors trios (from left to right: Sand Dune, Moon Rock and Southern Belle). The shadows are buttery soft, very pigmented, a little bit chalky. The texture reminds me of Stila and Urban Decay eye shadows. The packaging and color combo remind me of the NYX eyeshadow trio. For $1 each, you can't beat these.

Swatches! As you can see, they are indeed a little bit chalky. You gotta be light-handed when dipping the brush into these shadows ladies.

Sunset by the Lake

Just as suggested by its name, this look has red color eye shadow that represents sunset, blue represents lake,  green represents grass and brown for tree trunks. hehe..It looks kinda washed out, but I am kinda light-handed on the colors that I chose. Those are subtle colors, which makes this look wearable. 

My new palette called the NYX box of Eyeshadows. LOve love love the colors. Unfortunately, it is not as pigmented as Stila, Urban Decay or even Wet & Wild. They are great just for the enough pigmentation (since most shadows are not very shimmery anyway) and non chalkiness. As you know, shimmer eye shadows are usually more pigmented for some reason.

ELF Master Makeup Collection

Okay, finally I did my brows. haha.. Look kinda weird but it's getting better. I was wearing purple smokey eyes that. I know. My stupid Asian hooded eyes already kept all the eye makeup hidden. 

Green and ashy blue eye shadows on my eyes.

Don't mind my double eyelid tape. Asian hooded eyes need these. I can't live without these. My eye lids are uneven. It's painful to look at myself in mirror sometimes. But now, at least I have these!

FOTD and "The Lost Symbol"

My FOTD. My bf used his very expensive lens to take this picture. So it should be quite HD. hehe..BTW, I used a skin79 BB cream that I bought from ebay from a Korean seller. The coverage is medium and it oxidizes quite fast on me. I suspected that it is a fake BB cream. P.K, if you have this brand, can you tell me if this is real? It has pretty thick consistency but pretty easy to blend. It also has a pretty faint pleasant face lotion smell. I seriously can't tell whether it's fake or real because I haven't used any skin79 before. The packaging looks exactly the same like the real one except that it does not have manufacturer's date and expiry date, which is why I suspected that it is a fake one. Will post the pic of the BB cream soon so that you guys can see.

Love this ELF mineral eyeshadow! Very subtle. Can be used to create neutral look, coupled with a brown eyeshadow and you are all set.

I uploaded this HD pic so that you can see my false lashes and eye makeup. I used the green mineral eyeshadow above. I have blue eye shadow at the outer V and crease.

I bought a newest book by Dan Brown called The Lost Symbol. It's only freaking four bucks! Hard cover and like-new condition. Got it from a thrift store. Awesome deal! You can't never find this in Malaysia. It will cost at least 80 ringgit for hard cover in mph. Feel so sad when I go back to Malaysia. I can never find such good deal in Malaysia!

A dollar makeup/goodies!

A cute dancing flower. Yep! A dollar. I grabbed four!

These are repurchased because they are so great. I dunno how they end up in dollar store. They are not supposed to be this cheap. I use them almost everyday. They have not gone bad or anything. Smell so damn good too.

A Maybelline limited edition quad. Discontinued and ended up in dollar store. What can be better than this? I know this is not an old product because it was released last Christmas. Makeup are usually still good as long as they are not opened. Colors are very nice.

My most favorite lip gloss from Sally Hansen. It is very moisturizing. The glitters don't emphasize the crack of my lips. It just look very very smooth on lips. Can't say how much I love this. But it's most probably discontinued. That's how it ended up in a dollar store.

A Maybelline mineral blush. How awesome it is. I was so excited to find this in dollar store. This looks very natural on my skin.

Yep. All of them are 1 dollar each. Blush and bronzers.. My favorite things on earth! However, all Sally Girl strips are way too shimmery. Not my cup of tea.

ELF heartbreaker lipstain that is not actually a lip stain because it does not stain your lips and is not pigmented. Color is very nice though

Two Loreal lipsticks. Both have nice colors but annoying glitters that accentuate the crack of lips. I need to wait for my lips to be extremely moisturized when I used these.

A palette from LA colors. I purposely chose this because it has more color diversity. LA colors eye shadows can be kinda dull or too bright sometimes. Weird.. It's as if they don't have a good makeup expert to make nice color eyeshadow palette that has good combination of colors. Anyway, I tried to make it work.

A look created using the LA color palette above. Love the blue. Lazy to put on mascara because it was already 1am when I did this eye look. hehe

Two LA colors eye shadow palettes. Pretty good pigmentation. The colors are more like "intermediate" colors to me. Some remind me of Inglot eyeshadows.The thing I don't like about LA colors is that the colors are little too blendable. Sometimes, they blend into one color only, which is not very pretty.

A maybelline blush and highlighter. Very nice color! No pigmentation when swatched but buildable when a brush is used. I prefer not-too-pigmented blush because it's easier to control.

An NYC blush that I don't really like. The pigmentation is not even. The most pigmented is the darkest red. Pretty lame

Eyebrows!

My friends came over and stayed in my house. We had a makeup party and decided to give our Chindian friend a makeover! I did everything except her eyebrows because I suck at it. This look is very soft and neutral. It's better if she used a foundation because the makeup will look cleaner than this

Look at the original brow(right side) and newly shaped eyebrow on left. I didn't fix her eye brows but my other friend did. Eyebrows should never be thin because they make you look older. Shaping eyebrows is very important because it gives you personalities!

FOTD

I used a couple of colors from 88 warm palette today. They are circled in purple. BTW, my pic is very HD (I used a DSLR-like camera). I posted only the small size photos. Click on it to have better look.

I have no idea how everything was lost. I published a post yesterday about "A dollar makeup" but they are all gone. This is the look I wore today. Everything is so washed out. I look kinda dead because of the flash. So I am showing only the eyes. Don't mind my eye brows. I am lazy to shape them. Will do that soon. hehe
